Prerequisite Knowledge
This tutorial series teaches you how to create a full fledged website using Adobe Fireworks CS4 and Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and thus assumes you are familiar with some design software and HTML editor, even if you are new to Adobe Fireworks CS4 and/or Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. Knowing how websites work and having some knowledge of XHTML and CSS programming, will be an added advantage and should make your task easier. However we have ensured that even a beginner would be able to follow our instructions.

LETS CHANGE NIGERIA PROJECT

Let us look at the lifetime achievements of some great human rights crusader such as Ida B. Wells-Barnet, Benazir Bhutto, Martin Luther-King, our own Gani Fawehinmi (SAM) and some others. These people believe in a course and stood by it despite the challenges mitigating against their stands and ideology. However, I want to relate the positive contribution of a WOMAN during the post –slavery abolition period in the so called “God’s own Country” U.S.A. She is a well-known African-American female journalist who was born a slave. She became well educated courtesy of her Dad who is a staunch believer of education even in the 19th Century when slavery had only just been abolished.
She was a teacher before becoming a Journalist. She edited many journals and wrote articles against the mistreatment of black people, especially lynching of Black people in the United States. That terrible and cruel act of lynching African-Americans only got stopped in the 60s. After reading some of her written works, I felt a lot of sympathy towards the Blacks over their sufferings and the long period of endurance until they triumph through the courageous efforts of people like her who overcame torture and oppression in all forms.
Ida B. Wells-Barnett was a fearless anti-lynching crusader, Suffragist, Women rights advocate, Journalist, and Speaker. She stood as one of her nation’s most uncompromising leaders and most ardent defenders of democracy. She was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi in 1862 and died in Chicago, Illinois 1931 at the age of sixty-nine. She got an experience when she was young travelling on a train and had an encounter with the Coach conductor, who asked her to leave her compartment for another over-crowded one (simply because she was Black) which she declined. She was forcibly removed by the Three Coach staffers to the cheers and jeers of the White onlookers. However, she did not stop there rather, got the Railroad Company sued and won at the local Court. The verdict was later overturned by the supreme court of Tennessee. That was the first of many struggles Wells engaged and from that moment forward, she worked tirelessly and fearlessly to overturn injustices against Women and people of color. The suit against the railroad company also sparked fame and admirers and ignited the journalistic instinct in her. Many papers wanted to hear about the experiences of the 25 year-old School Teacher who stood up against White supremacy. The writing career blossomed in papers geared to African-American audiences. From this excepts, I want us to imbibe virtues, traits that could help evolve CHANGE in our Country. Let’s embrace SOCIAL JUSTICE, FAIRNESS and remain FEARLESS and STEADFAST in our goal to make this country a better place to live in from NOW…. The idea is to have a POSITIVE MINDSET TOWARDS A GOOD CAUSE. Most people always say that there is too much corruption and greed in Nigeria apparently because of individual sensitivity to National Insecurity and lack of confidence in some of our leaders. To this school of thinkers, change will not work because everybody is perceived to be corrupt. However, I want to state emphatically that it is a mindset problem. We have to develop the right MENTAL ATTITUDE or MINDSET that will embrace CHANGE to be able to achieve National progress. We need to have total commitment to PUBLIC SERVICE. You got to have the right form of ideas of what will stimulate the quantum leap. It is really on this basis of that quantum leap that we can achieve progress that can surmount POVERTY which is our greatest enemy now if not the challenge of our time.
Once our mindset is geared towards eradicating Poverty through concerted efforts towards the goal of WEALTH CREATION, which of course is ENTREPRENUERSHIP, change will develop in our mindset and take us to another level of Nation building. I BELIEVE IN NIGERIA AND TOGETHER WE CAN ALL MAKE IT RIGHT. Let’s forget the past and bury our hatchets and embrace the new task of change without recourse and deviation from the pertinent task of Nation building. GOD BLESS NIGERIA. You may accumulate your credits and apply them to purchasing 2009 FFOC entries at any of the three tiers as well as for any multi-team package. Friend referral credits must be used by September 10, 2009, may not be used towards Q School teams, and do not carry-over year-to-year.

How It Works - Refer the Most FFOC Teams & Receive $3000 Cash & a Trip to the Las Vegas Main Event

$3000 cash and a trip to the 2009 Las Vegas Main Event festivities will be awarded to the FFOC customer who refers the most teams at any of the three tiers that are registered, paid for, and drafted by new customers. The trip to Las Vegas includes a 2-night hotel stay, coach airfare from a major city in the United States or Canada, transportation from the airport in Las Vegas to the hotel on Sunday, December 27, 2009, and admittance to the FFOC Las Vegas main event on Monday, December 28, 2009.

In the event that that there is a tie for the most referred teams, the prize package will be awarded to the FFOC customer whose referred teams generated the most entry fee revenue. In the event that a tie still exists, the $3000 cash prize will be distributed equally among those who tied and a random draw will be used to award the trip to the Las Vegas Main Event.

How It Works - Compete in the REFERRAL BRACKET for $35,000 in Cash and Las Vegas Trip Prizes

For every 15 teams that you refer at any of the three tiers that are registered, paid for, and drafted by new customers, one of your 2009 FFOC teams at any of the three tiers will qualify to compete in the Referral Bracket for over $35,000 in additional cash and prizes! There is no limit to the number of your teams that can qualify for the Referral Bracket, so if you refer 30 teams, two of your FFOC teams will be eligible for the bonus competition.

On Friday, September 11, 2009, your FFOC account will indicate how many of your teams qualify for the Referral Bracket competition. You must select which teams you want entered in the Referral Bracket by 9 PM CT on Saturday, September 12, 2009. If you do not select your team(s) to be entered into the Referral Bracket by this deadline, you will not be allowed to participate in the bonus competition. Q School teams cannot be selected for entry to the Referral Bracket.

Scoring for the Referral Bracket is similar to the scoring for the July and August Brackets. Beginning in Week 11 and continuing through Week 14, there is a cut line such that the top percentage of teams with the highest weekly point totals advance and the bottom percentage of teams are eliminated from the Referral Bracket. Based on Week 15 point totals, the top 10 teams in the Referral Bracket advance to Week 16 to compete for the Referral Bracket cash prizes and each team owner receives a trip to the 2009 Las Vegas Main Event festivities. After Week 16, the top 3 teams in the Referral Bracket win cash prizes as determined by the sum of three scores:

Additional Information

Friend referral credits for a new customer are only attributable to one existing customer. In the event that two or more existing customers recommend the same new customer, the existing customer who made the referral first (via the link above) will receive the credits. A new customer is a person who has not played FFOC in the past nor who has previously registered for the current year's FFOC prior to the friend referral email having been sent to him. Friend referral credits are awarded after the new customer has registered and paid for his team. Once friend referral credits have been awarded, the team registered by the new customer may not be withdrawn and is not eligible for a refund under any terms or circumstances. No friend referral credits are awarded for Q School teams nor do Q School teams count towards the $3000 most-teams-referred prizes and the REFERRAL BRACKET competition and prizes.

Please note that although Poised to Stomp (PTS) will award the $3000 cash prize and trip to the Las Vegas Main Event festivities regardless of how many FFOC team owners refer new team owners to the 2009 FFOC, PTS reserves the right to modify or cancel the Referral Bracket competition and associated prizes in the event that an insufficient number of team owners qualify. Any modifications to the Referral Bracket competition will be announced by Friday, September 18, 2009.
